I’m a contemporary artist working across painting, sculpture, and construction. I see these less as separate disciplines than as different parts of an ongoing body of work. My process moves between abstraction, material, chance, intuition, and considered decisions. I often have many works underway at once, allowing one piece to inform another and giving ideas time to develop without a predetermined outcome.
I rely on discovery—the unexpected mark, relationship, or material decision that gives me something new to respond to. After decades of making and looking, I remain interested in that process: following the work, recognizing when something has resolved, and continuing from there.
